She has the maturity and knowledge to understand her own situation better. She's the oldest and had to act as an authority and support figure to the youngest. They on the other hand has Lizzie as this support. And the youngest does not have enough knowledge of the extent of the situation. Awareness. Liz the older sibling had to stay strong in their face, in order to act as a support system. She's also the one that kept more hope and kept trying to fix the situation as the older sibling. The disappointment and hurt is even stronger for her then. It's pretty much simple.

Siobhan Conneely You need to understand that even if they went back with their mom, it wouldn’t be a home because she wouldn’t love them. People take all foster homes as a bad thing but there’s times where it’s the best thing because there are many foster parents who actually love the children they take in when the biological parents don’t want them. You can see that a lot of foster parents love the children but because of the word “foster”, everyone thinks there’s no way it can be a home.

Well can you blame her? At the beginning of the movie, they said the mom made promises that she couldn’t keep. No matter how bad a mom is, a child is always going to want her mom. Not slamming them, just the consistency. So much so that we actually talk about it among friends in camp. His kids are SO f'd up. They were the greatest lil kids you've every seen. I understand how Lizzie feels. I may not have been in the system but neither of my parents have time for me and I'm their eldest daughter. My Nana and the Lord has been there for me all my life and I am forever grateful that someone cares for me. I pray that everyone will have love and care they all deserve. That's all everyone needs is love and care. Not materialistic things but quality time and compassion and unconditional love.

I get it that Lizzy wanted to be out of the system and wanted things to be normal again with her mom, but I felt that Lizzy was carrying more for herself than for Lina and Juan. That was not fair to force something that was not ready nor ideal. That her mom was not in the condition to be not to be a mom. Lizzy's mother will always be her mother, but never her mom because her mother did not have the capability to be responsible, care, nor love her own children as a real mom would. Those are the requirements to being a true mom.

Your mom doesn’t want you. Deal with it. I’m adopted. Don’t waste any time on the people who don’t want you around and enjoy and appreciate the family that choose to be with you. Not forced to because you share the same blood.
@trawlins3962 жыл бұрын
Relax. It's a movie. You're right though. Focus on those who do want you around. And it's not that the mother doesn't want her kids. She just knows she's not able to take care of them properly. Some parents are too selfish to realize that. Kids need a safe stable home.

All she wants is her Mom. She wants the woman who birthed her, because that is a bond that cannot be broken, no matter how many times life gets in your way. But sometimes... You can't have that. Sometimes you can't have your Mom, because it would hurt you more than anything else. It's not her fault her Mama is not ready, but you can't rush the healing process. Sometimes it takes longer for some than others.

I know this scene is mostly about lizzie. (Isabela showed some solid acting skills btw) but also can we appreciate that neither Juan and Lita, who were mostly emotional during the whole movie, reacted when they heard the news about their mom. It s like they were already expecting it. They had given up on their biological mother. The only one who still believed she could be their mom was lizzie
@Kayoss1321218 сағат бұрын
Yeah. I would’ve liked to have seen more. Like maybe even an epilogue/time jump to see how they’re doing as a family. I mean, it looked like Juan might’ve had some trauma too, and I would’ve liked to know more about that. IMO, I feel like this might’ve been better as a tv show.

Instant Family is one of my favorite films from 2018 because its message is true: Being adopted isn't a substitute family. It doesn't matter if you grew up with your biological parents or your adoptive parents. What matters is that the people who raised you right are your family, and that's what matters.
@annaesparza61572 жыл бұрын
Most kids have to accept the fact that most of their real parents can't be there or want them. In reality, they can learn that family isn't raised by blood but love. I went a foster care once with an old lady, who is kind woman and help me through until my mother and my stepfather take me and my brothers to live with them. I never know what happen to her since but I know it's her kind yet wisdom of her life kept me be happy even I want to help those who need a family, even they aren't my family but love is more powerful than everything.

Seriously and I will always believe it, I will always miss her because in addition to having an impressive talent for dramatic acting, Isabela Moner in real life was a girl, a teen, a very respectful and exemplary woman, a great inspiration for young people due to her intelligence and maturity. I miss that unique and authentic Isabela very much, very valuable to me 😟😞♥️👉👈 In the movies, that month of December 4 years ago I secretly cried in that scene, I felt that moved me, it touched my heart to see her cry and suffer that duel that mom doesn't love you, she won't come back for you never, You know, drugs are the bane of all aspects of life. Lizzie was one of the best characters played by Isabella exploring new facets of her career in Hollywood.

I'm one of the rare ones who were adopted by a couple I'm proud to call Mom and Dad. They raised me from age 7 and I've never once in these past 15 years felt I was anything less than family. As of 2018 I have reconnected with my biological Mom who is in prison. She is obviously flawed but I don't hate her, she's the reason I exist after all and in her own bizzare way she loves and wants the best for me. I'm currently a Film major, living on my own, with a beautiful girlfriend going on 4 years, all at the ripe age of 21. Sadly my story is one in a million and countless children will never even be adopted let alone be truly loved by those who do adopt them or by their biological parents otherwise. To all the Moms and Dads who stay and try their best, you're doing everything and more ❤

Is unbelievable that a person a fellow human being can not only mistreat their kids but actually abandoned their kids and live on with there lives. Like did there parents abandoned them as kids or something or they just think some else better will take care of them either there is no excuse for leaving you child, you family, the person you made on purpose or not they should at least feel some form of emotion that would at least say good by to them. They should feel ashamed for the rest of there lives😤😡🤬
@dianebraberry3175 жыл бұрын
No child ever wants to come to terms that their birth parents does not want them in situations like this. I can understand it was somewhat easier for the siblings since they only faced the bad stuff whereas she saw the good parts in her mother only to see it turn ugly at the end.
