​@tobybw0 I disagree. Problem with St Helens is it's a cricket stadium, very hard to generate any noise there, I remember what it was like. To get a decent atmosphere it would have to be the Gnoll or the Brewery Field.

Gatland needs to start picking more Ospreys. From 1-23 they don't have the most sparkling razzle dazzle talent compared to Cardiff or the Scarlets, but what they do have is the ability to actually beat good sides. They have more grit than the other three regions combined.

What they do have is ball carriers, which is what Wales need. James Ratti for one, who was up there for MOTM today, but can't take that away from Harri Deaves, who was fantastic.

Sale spent most of the game offside at every ruck. Really difficult for backs moves when they are allowed to do that but a good win.

From the stands Sale's backs looked about a week-and-a-half offside, half a dozen times, but that's through the eyes of an Ospreys fan. I'd be interested in what neutrals thought! Curry's grounding was very dodgy but give the on-field decision, I don't think there's enough there to overturn, so fair enough. Inability to convert dominance in the 1st quarter cost Sale; 120 seconds of chaos killed them; Os had just enough to keep them at arm's length once they finally got their act together.

5th placed team in each of the 4 pools were "relegated" from the Champions Cup to the Challenge Cup.

Really poor pitch there. It was like the 1980s. Quite a few passages came to an end because of the muck and bumps. Not acceptable for a fair pro game. 2ndly, why all the gubbins about the 2nd Sale try. It adds nothing the the highlights.

@@3967742 Yes, looked at the footage. The pitch was like the contents of a dodgy meat pie. Bring back 1980s standards - if the groundsman can walk to the centre of the pitch without sinking to his knees, the pitch is playable.
