I used to have free forms and started with finger coils and recently got a traditional dread but I started missed my fro but this has just inspired me and shown me a better way to free form my hair because our hair are similar types too. I appreciate it fr man!!

It’s nice what ur trying to do but not everybody believes in Jesus and a lot of u Christians love to force ur belief onto others atleast make sure others believe in him before u js do that bc its rude to tell others Jesus loves them when u don’t kno their beliefs and they didn’t try to force u into theirs.

@@uaintslikkk1567 All he said was Jesus loves you which is 100% true. He isn’t forcing anything on anybody. Jesus loves everyone, even those who don’t believe in him. God bless.

Another tip with the hook don't apply too much force on your hair and don't do it too fast

For this do I need my hair twisted with a sponge prior or can I just straight crochet hook?
@locstyletv37383 жыл бұрын
You don't need to twist with the sponge prior, but you do need to at least section off and twist the part you're gonna lock. I recommend using the sponge first though because it creates the sections for you

Does it matter if I have two needle
@locstyletv37383 жыл бұрын
Not really.. I think one needle is just easier

The only criticism I have is that you should’ve started them like 3 centimeters back so that you don’t mess up your hairline
@locstyletv3738 Жыл бұрын
3 years loc'd and I still got my hair line. My locs go all the way to the front, so I only line up my taper to keep them from thinning. I don't like the front taper look because it requires a lot of up keep to keep it looking good and it's easy to walk your locs back if you or your barber isn't careful

Does it matter what crochet needle you use ?
@locstyletv37383 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a big deal.. I use a .5mm one
@kelvingonzales43613 жыл бұрын
I believe it will make a difference what size you use. If you have bigger crochet size, it would disturb more hair strands which is not good if you already have locs that are locked up enough and you want to maintain it. It's more effective if you were to use smaller size crochet.

I'm white and I have what people call a top only, not a full head. I did this in the mirror. Shit took me 5-6 hours. Arms was like jello, had poke holes in my fingers from the 0.5 hook. Gawd it sucked but it looks good though. Takes time that's all. Yours looks good as is though.... no homo.
@locstyletv37383 жыл бұрын
Damn I bet that was a lot of work, glad it was worth it in the end.. I've always wondered how long it would take to crochet a set of dreads from straight hair

I back combed it. Separated it and started crocheting like grandma on the front porch 😆
