I, for real, have been eyeing this recipe, and tonight, I finally took the plunge!!!! Omgosh totally lives up to your praises! Another chowder to add to my collection, where you get your inspiration, is beyond me, but Jeffeey, you are the man dude!

Thank you for sharing your newest IP creation! I like when Richard makes a special guest appearance. Banjo too!
@jkgiven1 Жыл бұрын
I really enjoy using the IP because I love soups. This Dill Pickle Chowder is (I should say was) my new absolute favorite soup of ALL. Make it like the video shows and you will love it. Want to make it even better? Then add a whole package of bacon and half a jar of diced jalapeño peppers + 1/2 Cup of juice (insert these two ingredients same as the pickle juice and the pickles). Cut up your bacon, and crisp it up first. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon but leave the grease, use the grease to cook your veggies instead of the butter.

OMG!!! THIS? the very BEST offering you've made, in the three years I've been following you! I make a batch, eat one serving, then freeze the rest in silicone "Souper Cubes" for later...This is my go to soup now, forever!!! (PS - I use way more dried dill than you suggest - just pumps up the dill flavor!) Thanx for this awesome recipe!!! Luv you (& Richard)

Claussen is the best!! My Dad from Mississippi introduced me to those. They are incredible. After I’ve eaten all the pickles, I dig in the bottom of the jar and eat the garlic.

Love your videos- so many great and unusual ideas for Instant Pot. I have to disagree on Best Pickle. As a girl from Brooklyn- I know my pickle! "Bubbies Dill Pickles." A refrigerator section pickle as well. It's a Canadian co, made in California. More expensive than most- can be found on Amazon as well- but expensive. The best- great for a pickle sandwich on a good rye as well! Enjoy. Keep up the wonderful work!

Bubbies are the best! Pickled in their own juices rather than vinegar.

Jeff, I made this recipe last night, minus the Old Bay seasoning. I can confidently say it is THE BOMB!!!! I’m not a big soup guy, but honestly, this has become one of my favorite recipes. BTW,,,,,your cutting technique always scares the crap out of me. LOL

I wouldn’t have ever thought of pickle soup. I will have to try this because I love pickles. Claussen are the best. I just finished a jar yesterday. Luckily they are on sale this week. I will have to hop over to your website to grab this recipe and Richards dip recipe. Thanks for sharing. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

Just wondering...does your Instant Pot make a low hum when it is heating up? I don't recall this sound ever. I have the 6qt original Duo Plus (without the sous vide function). I'm also wondering how folks are liking the air fryer lid. If my unit (now almost 4 years old) has reached the end of its life, I'm considering upgrading to a model with the fryer lid. Thanks!

Claussens are the best pickles you can get in the supermarket... and kick them up a notch by adding a teaspoon of dill seed to them. Dill seed.

Any ideas for someone who's allergic to potatoes? My go-to for mashed potatoes is usually Japanese sweet potatoes or rutabagas, and for stews either rutabagas or turnips, but I feel like the sweet potatoes would be too sweet for this and the turnips and rutabagas would possibly be too spicy 🤔
