So helpful. Very clear, perfect speed and great visualization to keep track of the different models. Thank you very much.

Great comparison but it’s mentioned that the Duo Plus is available in 3quart and 8quart. I had to double check because I have a 6quart Duo Plus currently on order. Had me worried.
@JLilliquist2 жыл бұрын
Many models are some only 6 and 8 quart. I use 6 quart and have extra liners. I could even run 2 at once but have not done that yet. I have never needed more than the 6 quart can make.

Only their most popular models are in all three sizes. I still prefer 6 qt. Same for slow cookers, I got a smaller one on a Black Friday sale, I never use it, it has see 1 or 2 uses in over 5 years.

mine says its a instant pot 6qt duo plus but it has no Manual button (I did find out that the older models use the pressure cook button for this) or a keep warm button.(still don't know how to turn this off other than unplugging it or depressing the stop button...wth.

Depends, I am not planning to remodel the kitchen soon so I got a Duo Crisp which so I can do convection baking faster than my convection microwave. I already had an Ultra. For newbies, a Duo version, for people that do more I use my Ultra more currently. The may change once I try the crisper.

Honestly, if you’re debating between the regular or the crisp one, get the regular and buy the air fryer lid later

Why that? I considering to buy Duo Crisp, waiting for better deal
@KariIzumi12 жыл бұрын
@@relaxingcooking2993 most of the other models all come with cool presets. The Crisp line, you lose a lot of those, like the yogurt and egg buttons. With the lid, you get the presets plus the five settings unique to the air fryer function.
@relaxingcooking29932 жыл бұрын
@@KariIzumi1 I thought that I could maybe adjust the cooking time in other programs like slow cooker for yogurt or aI don't know what for eggs 😁 The issue for me right now that instant pot pro plus separate lid will cost much more that like instant pot pro crisp
@thuyngabui17932 жыл бұрын
@@relaxingcooking2993 I have the duo and the duo crisp. You can use the sous vide function to make yogurt in the duo crisp. I don’t really use the presets on the duo because I feel that it’s not very accurate

@@JLilliquist what are you saying? The Max is a canner . Others dont seem to have that.
@JLilliquist2 жыл бұрын
@@pamelaleitman9200 I use a 'canner' pot. The IP is too small, 3 jars max. It also only gets to not high enough bars or something that does not meet the full FDA specs. I forget what but it is insufficient for vegetables and any pot works for jams.

Very informative video. For baking I prefer a conventional oven. However all will end up in landfill in the next decade. Hurrah to industrial Capitalism.

Depends if you take care of your pot. I tend to take care of my kitchen gadgets and equipment. I have a waffle iron that I got 25 years and and still use. My toaster oven is about 20 years old. My pots and utensils are about 25 years old. My Kitchen Aid mixer is about 18 years old. The Instant Pot seems heavy and well made. I figure I'll be using it until it eventually dies, if it ever does. I bought replacement seals and pins and heavy duty accessories to use in it. Clean it well, use it correctly, and don't abuse it, and it should last a while.
@applegal30582 жыл бұрын
In saying that, I wouldn't make anything like cookies or cakes in this...I like crispy and browned baked goods. So I agree with you in that respect. Take care.
