Helps a lot to understand the game, and for sure a very good refresment for the rules,at least for us, who are outside this game. Not sure if ever asked, but what would be your suggestion for purchase the first game of the series? As i saw in your videos, I have not see anything related

I am frequently asked this, my stock answer is Antietam because it is the most affordable, but still allows one to get the truest feel of the chit draw. Marengo, Austerlitz, and Gettysburg, are amazing, but asks more $$$ for a system you haven't been "sold on" yet.

An example in the latest rulebook implies that a supporting unit can "fire", instead of moving to contact or retreating. You say in this video that only the latter 2 options exist. Which is correct? Thanks.

When the current rulebook says a unit can fire, this means that it remains in contact and fights in melee. Only the two options currently exist.
