De Jong for PSV is 34, Pepi has been transitioned into that starting role. He's had two starts for PSV in the league and scored 4 goals in those games. I don't think he needs to move it's just a matter of time before he's starting every game for PSV. Remember he's only 21 and at the start of his career, there's no rush for him to move to a bigger club.

What youre missing w Musah, Alexi, is that decision-making is easier on the edge. Musah is great at driving up the middle, but its for naught if he cant distribute effectively and spits the ball up at the end of his push. My read is that Pochettino wants to simplify things for him and help him play with confidence, which will help him anywhere on the field.

Just proves that most Americans have zero concept or idea about how the games actually supposed to be played. The tactical brilliance and flow and movement was outstanding... so glad we have Poch!!

Lalas' critique of how Poch used Ream vs Jamaica is comical, especially in light of tonite's US success. Lalas' inability to criticize Berhalter (except for when it was clear Berhalter would out late 2024) marks either Lalas lack of football analytics, or a lopsided bias, or both, and this results in me never again tuning in to this dimwit.

Completely agreed with Lalas regarding Ream. Too old, not skillful, or with all that "experience" he hasn't figured out his position...prefer incorporating young folks now and allow them grow and get the experience needed for 2026

There’s something basic that I don’t get: The high press, moving forward, one-and two-touch passing … all good things … but these guys are are all pros at the top of their games … did they really need Pochettino to tell them to do those things? Why didn’t they know to do them before??

Lalas has to try and be negative. Remember just 5 months ago we played this same Jamaican team, perhaps even weaker, under GGG and we got lucky to tie them in the final 90 minutes by an own goal. Before we went on to win in overtime.

Pepi is meh for me. outside of his goal (which was important) he didnt do anything to guarantee his spot IMO. He lost the ball i think 8 of 10 times. And missed some easy chances. Also the US is the type of team that attacks quickly out of the back/midfield and fast down the wings. We need a #9 who can consistently put away crosses. He's 100% not that guy. AND THATS WHAT WE'VE BEEN SAYING THIS TEAM HAS BEEN MISSING FOR 3-4 YEARS NOW. A guaranteed finisher. And no one has shown that they can be a threat in that very, specific and necessary way w the exception of Balogun. Who hasnt reached anywhere near his expectations for US yet. Sargent is just getting back in to rhythm so we'll see. And Vazquez looked like he was in over his head. Pepi did too most of the game. Not impressed.
