When twisting the side of the basket to "lock", is there supposed to be any tension or friction to actually keep it closed? For ours, there isn't really any difference in tension between locked and unlocked, aside from the gap in the middle.

Not tension, the tabs on the basket slide into the channel in the lid, it can't come off if it's turned all the way to lock.

@@InstantPotOfficial ok, then how secure is the lid when "locked"? Observing it in action with some fries, it looks like it is going to fall out on its own. A gap opens and closes on every revolution. It does not stay in the "locked" position, but slides freely.

It shouldn't be coming unlocked. If you are putting the lid toward the right, try putting it toward the left of the oven instead, see if that makes a difference.

Anyone figure out how to keep the square drive from slipping while using the basket. Once the weight is a little offset it won't even turn anymore!!

If I’m cooking a whole chicken, why would I put the Metal accessory in first when I have to put the chicken on it and the accessory is going to heat up? Secondly, how do you take off the front door?

Hi there! The rotisserie stick does not need to be inside the unit for preheat, however, once the unit is hot it will make a little difficult to add the stick. We recommend adding the food during the preheat and then it's already installed. We hope this helps!

The basket got stuck during the first try and never got to get it out yet, and never was able to use it again. The left side of the basket is stuck and won't come out.

Yes but if it is very small it will bounce around inside the basket.

It should rotate when you hit the rotate button. Make sure it's less than 4 pounds.

So, the basket rotates? If that's the case, your rotisserie is fine. Make sure the rod isn't spinning inside the chicken. It has to be trussed tight. Some people put and onion or something in the chicken to run the rod through, but if it's tied good and tight, you shouldn't have to do that.

What you are NOT showing is how to properly spit a roast. The provided equipment cannot spit a roast. Am I supposed to drill through the roast with my Dewalt and then push the rotisserie spindle through it? Show better examples. I bought an expensive air fryer that came with NOTHING in the way of guidance, and, for a brand such as Instant, that is just AWFUL. I am SO disappointed in you. You don't even give guidance on how long to cook basic recipes. Until you do, I will discourage people from buying your product.
