Instax SQ1 vs Mini 11

Today I’m going to be talking about FujiFilm’s latest releases, the SQ1 and the Instax Mini 11.
In this video, we're comparing the Instax SQ1 and Mini 11 cameras. We'll look at features, design, and how they perform in the real world.

Which camera should you buy? Essentially these two cameras are the same except for the shape, colours and the film… which in my mind makes your decision a little easier. The Instax SQ1 has a bigger body, bigger photos, and a longer battery life and the Instax Mini 11 has a smaller body, shorter battery life, and produces photos that fit in your wallet. You have to decide whether you prefer square photos to mini photos or whether you prefer one of the SQ1 colours to the Mini 11 colours. And finally, budget - is the SQ1 in your budget or should you perhaps go for the Mini 11. All in all I hope this video clears up a few questions for you.

They're both very stylish in their own way and the photos seem to be pretty much the same apart from size. Thanks for the video! I have a question..would it be possible to change the ISO by buying different kinds of film or do instant cameras only offer one type of film? I'm mostly used to regular film cameras haha

This is a great question - thanks for asking! but there is only the one type of film for each camera. The Mini film comes with designs etc on the white borders and they both come in a black border variant but the film itself is the same and prints as the camera dictates. I hope that makes sense!

@@immyk3991 Hi! Because of the price here in Brazil and the fact that the mini 11 film is able to fit in my wallet, I ended up chosing it! Also, my sister has the mini 9 and so we can share the films. Sorry it took me so long to answer you!

I have been looking for this video for hours, I finally got here! I was initially thinking of getting the Evo, but then, I want to have the simple one - and I'm not the kind of person who does photography everyday so.. But I love taking pictures of nature so square one is better option (MORE EXPENSIVE THOUGH)!

The EVO is not difficult to use at all - I promise. You can use it as a simple point and shoot! If that's the one you want, get it and I'll help you with anything you need to understand! Promise!

Hey! You are brilliant, very well made video. One question: can I mount a film shield (just as you would on box cameras) on the instax mini 11? I tried searching but could not find anything for it!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. The pic quality is about the same... but I have noticed that the SQ1's prints seem to have a bit more shadow sometimes thanks to the "throw" of the flash.

Love the look of the square but the film is way more expensive with the mini film you can get the bundles on sale

It's the mini really that fits into a wallet. SQ1 uses the square paper for printing, which is larger than the mini paper. 📸
