I like it because my 2 friends i play with are bulwark and assault so I try to take advantage of being the class with access to the only primary weapons in our squad

yo you are absolutely right! half the time you gotta get in the thick of it in melee anyway, I feel a lot of people just look at tier lists and follow mindlessly

That is something many people fall prey to sadly. Not enough people willing to just try different stuff or what would be considered "weaker" by the masses.

I incorporated all weapons into builds in mass effect, warframe and I am gonna give all them bolters some love too. Glad that there are people who try other than the meta 😉

Meta only gets busted out for the most difficult stuff. Other than that yeah we going off meta all day.

I like the vanguard but its big flaws are the core synergy for parrying an dodging doesn't have a good enough payoff (Upper hand should do a little more) and it's the only class that doesn't have any signature weapons that only it gets

I agree that the vanguard should have at least one weapon the others don't. It got close with the knife, but then they gave it to snipers which is not bad in any way.

Tabletop wise , the Phobos troops only have a few weapon options. One type of Phobos unit gets paired combat knives , that woulda been real nice

my go too for vanguard. the class is already good at melee. the instigator gives you some reach to stop reinforcement calls which gives the vanguard even more utility.

Funny thing is the sniper can do more melee damage than the vanguard which is hilarious and sad that class needs help 💀💀💀💀

The combat knife (balanced) is sooooo fast. I find the melta boring and prefer to be able to tag targets from further away. 😊

@@TheWizardsRaven I leveled sniper first and started playing with a melee build because why not? And here I am grinding weapon experience (I only use currency on block melee weapons) and put it on. A couple swings and I was a convert. Now I am leveling my second to last character (Vanguard) and it's a cake walk. It's so easy to slice your way through everything but bosses. The speed and something to prevent knockback means that you can sustain off just red health.

@@matthewball8147 The balanced knife means business for sure. I use it as a crutch when I level up new weapons in higher difficulties. With the speed on that thing it can easily take out anything below terminus level threats.

​@@matthewball8147 I still prefer fencing tbh. Safety is important in higher difficulties, and having that extra parry window lets me comfortably take on hordes by myself.

@@JustaLamborghiniCountachWhoCom yeah,, playing since day one the large party window is no longer as appealing because I win the parry game now. Being able to stun lock enemies with those rapid hits is amazing. It is a stun lock so I find minoris enemies won't even whittle away an armor segment while I absolutely slaughter my target. But whatever you are comfortable with as long as you enjoy the game Brother!

Honestly I think one one or two out the whole collection of weapons are trash. The rest are good. It’s just about regulating your play style to suit

@@TheWizardsRaven correct I’m happy. It’s already a tonne better than most games. Think how quick the meta comes and stays with shooter games, cod, etc. This is an even more intense style because play flow is way more important so niches are very evident and the fact they have great options like 14/16 guns are great, they’ve done it really well! Everyone who cries is a 12yr pussy who needs to get good.
