As an ex-pat Ulsterman (born and raised in immediate sight of "The Yard") I am so delighted that H&W has been reborn and looking to a great future.It's two years since I went back and created a video of the Titanic Quarter. At that time, the company was in receivership, and I expressed on video, the hope that a buyer would be found, although I had strong doubts. H&W had been the lifeblood of NI for so long, and I certainly wasn't the only one bemoaning it's fate. In my youth I watched the first oil rig platform - Sea Quest - ever to be successfully launched, then Canberra and the tanker Esso Ulidia, and later, I made the very first synthetic ropes in Belfast - for no less a ship than the QE2. I should imagine that the good folk of Belfast will be overjoyed at this news - good for Belfast, good for NI, and good for the UK - especially now that we are out of the EU and surviving on our own merits.Best wishes to all.
