Hi McDermott, I'm not saying your wrong as the distance is about what is generally accepted 10-12 inch's. But I am curious as to how this relates to the length of your for arm and how this theory came about?

Great question. Mathematically it is correct. Without going into a long drawn out math/science lesson on fulcrums, the long and short of it is that this is correct from a physics perspective. If you were building a robot you would want the measurements of the lever to find the correct fulcrum point. Hope this makes sense.
