Restoring my 2006 S2R 1000 from Ducati. Time to make the really badly worn and UV damaged dash look brand new again !

Very nice! But doesn't the S2R1000 go to 11,000 RPM? This gauge goes to 12,000, so wouldn't it not be accurate?

Hah ! wondered how long it would take until somebody notices. Yes it's not accurate, but also the bike doesn't even have a red-line and it's not like I can read the numbers while riding anyway. As the exact numbers don't matter that much I went for it :)

All good! Since they do custom stuff I may ask them if they can do it up to 11k. I'd like to change the color scheme as well :) Incredible video Sir! I wouldn't have even thought to tackle a project like this until I saw your video because I thought the housing was bonded to the case and you had to heat it up and take it apart which I wouldn't want to do. But from your video looks like it just bolts together :)

Well this won't be easy how good are you at soldering? you can look at your logic board and find the part number of the stepper order a new one at an electronics store and solder in the replacement. If you have no experience there might be still some electronics repairs stores but they are getting very rare these days. You might also wanna try if it's actually the motor that went bad or if it gets no power.

@Mono Moto Hi thanks for your reply, Well dial does move just jerky and wrong reading, bike runs fine , was informed that probably stepper motor but not sure, board visually looks OK might also be wiring loom thanks again

@@runflat5153 maybe take it apart and have a look? If you are lucky something is in the way/ making contact of the needle spinning freely ?

Yea took it apart needle is moving freely no obvious signs of problems , I think it's a voltage issue as when bike turned on dial usually doesn't sweep but when engine kicks in opening throttle gets the dial jerking about

@@MonoMoto nothing there about order of assembly dashboard M620 2004, type without screw in the middle of front mask, those one in a frame of sand watch...i should open a theme..it is seems to unimportant subject to ask anybody..
