Clear instruction, but it would be great if the videos were rotated 180 degrees so they are from the perspective of the person making the sutures

What about the thing that older (ED) doctors say about "locking" the first knot by pulling the strings both to one side? And also I was taught to pull the knot to one side instead of overlying the wound because the knot can be irritating to the laceration?

I think the camera should've faced how the surgeon is actually facing the suture. It's the opposite and creates confusion.

You can see a line had been drawn previously to the cut so this must've been intentional. Respect to the volunteer cause it couldnt be me

All suturing videos are great but i want to know should we place not over incision line or on the sides
@skazemi1
@skazemi1 8 жыл бұрын
+Mayank Mishra Placing the knots on the sides minimizes the scarring of the tissue, as well as minimizing the possibility of inverting that part of the incision. So it is best to place your knots away from the incision line, closer to the tail of the suture line..
@Tamponade1

Do you have any references to support that putting the knot on the side minimizes scarring?
