Hi Friends! I have been excited to share this new video with you. My homeschooled teenage son created the visual portion of this video with a free computer program. I am so proud and really amazed that he figured out how to do this! I hope you enjoy this music and fireplace scene. Merry Christmas!

He used a 3D rendering program called "Blender" to create this. He's really been enjoying the process of learning to use it.

@@JoshSnodgrass I bet! I see he has artistic talent like his Dad. I’ll look up that program. We homeschooled a couple years. It really takes the right kids and parents to make it truly beneficial. It’s best to have the kids be in contact with other happy homeschooled kids. I never got around to recording a Christmas song this year. Procrastinator. Merry Christmas you guys. 🌲

Thanks Jeremy! I really enjoy some of these Christmas songs that are in minor keys. Most of the year playing worship stuff I end up in major keys so this stuff is a nice change of pace.

Josh, I was excited that you'd done a Christmas video with a "crackling fireplace" because I always have a KZbin fireplace video, with good realistic crackles, playing very softly in the background whenever I'm playing your Christmas videos. Maybe that would seem like interference to you, but I really enjoy hearing the fireplace softly while I'm listening to the Christmas music. Of course Ι can just keep doing it this way, with two videos playing at once . . . Sooo . . . Just sayin' Your music is thrilling, and such a blessing, and somehow you (and the holy Spirit of God) manage to get even better every year. All kinds of grateful thanks - from the banks of the Sammamish River, near Seattle. P.s. This way I can adjust the volume of the fireplace vis-a-vis your playing to my own taste - so maybe this is better.

That's a good comment. I guess that everyone probably would prefer a different level of "crackle". I have this one kind of subtle. I actually recorded it from our own wood stove! It's too bad that there is no way to make something like the crackle of a fireplace adjustable in one video in relation to the music. That would be an awesome feature. It sounds like you probably have the best solution that is possible with current technology (ha, ha). I lived in the Seattle area for years actually. I used to play at the Lights of Christmas in Stanwood every year. God bless and merry Christmas!

Are you using a steel string guitar are a nylon string? Sounds to me like nylon.

I use both. Some of the songs are steel, some are nylon. The steel have a bit brighter sound.
