@@InstrumentManiac, the piece is very much like the "rollercoaster" of life. There are so many wonderful instruments! I♥the harp, the cello and flute! I really liked how the flute "led into a place of rest" right on the final note at the end where just the cello and the harp play, it's like being on a gentle wave moving side-to-side letting your body and mind enter a state of relaxation where the stresses and anxieties of the world leave you... Ohhh I would've enjoyed more of that...

I was four when I played this game on N64, and hearing those first few seconds brings me back to when I first turned on that ancient console. I remember very specifically the profiles on there, because they're still there- there was my cousin's profile called "The Best" ... and then let's just say that profile has missing items, but there was one other profile on the 3rd slot I made to match the other one; they were simply called "Link" with 100% completion done by me and my sibling on two other accounts/slots LOL

You _perfectly_ captured the haunting beauty of this piece, one of the best pieces in Zelda history, which pulls on the heartstrings above and beyond any other Zelda track I've heard. I don't know what it is about this piece that makes you (or at least, me) so *_deeply_* feel... I don't even know what! It's definitely not _happy,_ but it's not _sad,_ either. It's... yearning? Maybe? I don't know, but it's simply _beautiful._

The first videogame I ever played in my life, the first GAME I ever physically touched, was Ocarina of Time. My parents were playing it and I was too young to understand half of what was going on, my little hands could barely touch the N64 controller and move it around, but I DO remember making link go into Castle Town and felt so proud of myself. Obviously I Fell off that bridge a few times, but it was worth it.

This is so lovely (and I don't even know the orginal game!). First, apparently your harp lessons are having an impact, you sound so confident in your handling of the instrument and, of course, the instrument itself has such a rich, full sound! I also love your antique flute. It has a special sound, probably not a perfect one but still one that is perfect for this arrangement. As for the arrangement, admit you chose to push heavily on the melancholy pedal 😁 There's a sense of longing, a sense of loss that goes through the roof here, like someone watching through a windowpane in a chilly Autumn day when it is raining heavily outside and one is thinking about the last Summer. And the strings are spot-on there.
@InstrumentManiac3 жыл бұрын
Thank you idraote!! Such a deep respect for harpists, there is so much going on with that instrument 😂 And yes! I really felt like no one had approached it with more of a somber tone (usually it's more mysterious/opening credits vibe). Really happy to hear that came through while listening!

Even though I never really played OT, I have listened to its soundtrack. Hearing this rendition gives it the same relaxing vibes as the original, but also makes you think of the nostalgic days of playing games and just outside child adventure days of playing outside. It also sounds almost angelic with the way you played the harp and flute portions with this. This and Kingdom Hearts will always be my go-to for soothing videogame music.
