Ascertain the reduction in turnover : We have to find short sales Short sales = standard sale - actual sale during loss period Standard sale = 12 months before uncertainty happening After calculating short sales the 2nd step is to find gross profit ratio Gross profit ratio = net profit before tax + insured standing charges last year divided by last year turnover multiplied by 100 3rd step is to find loss on gross profit - Short sales × gross profit ratio 6th step is applied average clause
