Also, unless you are frequently getting 100 mile tows yearly it's cheaper to just order tow trucks privately directly from the towing companies. Not all of them are crooks.

Always use your insurance's roadside assistance or a company like AAA, never give your car over to a tow truck driver who just happens to "show up"! If this is happening in Pittsburgh, it must be happening in other cities as well. It is straight out FRAUD! Please name the names of the towing companies as well!

Photograph the truck or video it including as the operator loads or hooks it because some operators don't know how to connect correctly.
