My state farm insurance company is telling me that i must pay 3 deductibles on the same claim So i have put in one claim but the insurance company is telling me that i must pay 3 deductibles on the same claim of vandalism the estimated cost to repair the damages is 14000 thousand the insurance company says i must pay 3 deductibles at 3200 hundred dollars making my out of pocket expense 9600 hundred dollars on a 14000 thousand dollar claim Stating that i must pay a deductible on a per -claim basis but i only filed one claim for vandalism so how does one claim turn into 3 claims i ask state farm for an explanation on how this could be but i get no answers And it seams clear that there is no help with this matter so the insurance company State farm can do as they please there should be a law against this practice i looked up deductibles on the internet and i only find where a deductible is allowed if you have two claims on two different days which i can understand that theory but to take one claim and turn it into 3 separate claims does not seam right what so ever. Roger, Your local State Farm agent should be able to answer your questions and address your concerns. Make sure to take a copy of the policy with you. If you don't have the option to see a local agent, I would suggest calling State Farm and asking to speak to a claims manager. A claims representative should be able to answer your questions.
