Hey Insym, this is a very trippy game but I have a theory on what I think is going on in this game. This may be considered spoilers, but I don't know how accurate I actually am with my interpretation of the story. I am sorry for the lengthy explanation. Liana (Was a human at some point) Mother (Human) Father (Human) Brother (Human) Player/Liana (Android/robot) I think that the Liana you are playing as is an android programmed by the father with the consciousness of the dead daughter. The Mother mentions him always working. The term 'Angel' is mentioned a lot by the father and I think this is the name of the project he is working on... the creation of Androids. The 'Core' is Liana's consciousness when she was alive, transferred into the android you are playing as. The game is the story of an android named Liana reaching 100% consciousness of the real (dead) version of Liana. The box you take to the father at the beginning of the game, I think, contains the head of a previous model that has reached 100% consciousness and the father takes it back to where he works to upload that consciousness into another new model android of Liana. I also think that is why the barn is on fire at the start of the game. Perhaps the mother disposes of the rest of the android in a fire while the head is kept to transfer consciousness to the next model of Liana. The grave I think is where the real Liana is buried and that is why the 'core' is in danger of contamination when you get to it and why the mother is in all black. She's grieving the loss of her daughter, but is also trying to keep the android of Liana in this lie of reality. The reality being that Liana is actually dead and you/the player is a robotic version of her with her memories and consciousness. The brother also seems to give hints trying to make the android/current Liana self aware. I think that the mirror is taped up so that the current android Liana doesn't discover her true identity. The guy/silhouette in the light from the tower is actually the father, trying to help android Liana reach self awareness. I also think that this is why you 'level up' during certain situations or interactions. This is the current android version of Liana going against her programming and becoming more self aware. So the mother and brother has to live a lie with an android resembling their dead daughter/sister and the father is trying to bring his dead daughters consciousness to a more prominent existence over her programmed reality, thus making the android an exact replica of his daughter who thinks and acts like a real human does.

@@melip3114 It means Video on Demand. Basically, Insym's VOD channel is a less edited, more complete version of his actual Twitch stream - minus the starting comfy talk time and w/e edits are needed to stay w/in YT's TOS. You could also watch the VODS on his Twitch channel that is unedited.
