A little tip! The people on the list you don’t need to call to confirm if they are home. Since they’re on the list it means they aren’t home and are expected to come home. But those not on the list, 100% call

Now, I don't think he checked the list on that run, but if he was on the list, then doesn't that prove that wrong? Since the brother still said the clone was there. So you wouldn't know if you let in the clone or not anyway.

Yeah I feel like this game is missing a few uncanny tells that let you know beforehand that you fucked up. Like for example the residents just not answering their phones when you call for some reason, and then persistently calling the front desk for the rest of the round. Any time you answer, it would just be a flood of tiny text that makes the dialogue box big enough to obscure the window, possibly allowing even more doppelgangers to slip by while you're distracted.
