I have been there twelve years before enjoyed everything along with friends very good option along with family as well. We also travelled from Kottayam Railway station we stayed at a resort so spent bit costlier but taste of food bit different so most of the time I had light food we should be lucky to have friendly crew because they're bit stiff and not friendly sometimes language challenge as well we surprised with the facilities boat house had including split AC nicely maintained Very good place to enjoy along with Family at 2000/ person I follow this channel for Budget friendly trips most of the time they suggest bachelor's trip with medium number of persons this one very good for Family
