Hey Jen, I came from Jess’s channel and although I’ve never been to prison I am a recovering alcoholic and addict as well as a mom of 3. Sober from alcohol 8 years now and opiates 5 years. I just want to tell you that you are such a breath of fresh air and I’m so glad Jess put the bug in your ear to start a YT channel. I love the line of work you do now, I myself after getting sober worked in a detox and found it to never feel like “work” because I was just passing the message along and I was surrounded by “my people” Keep the videos coming, you’re doing an amazing job!! XO ♥️Laura, Massachusetts

As for the Quell, it's not surprising when I saw The 1989 Documentary on Women In Prison on 48 Hours they had 30 Inmates from Rikers coming to Bedford Hills and they had Body Lice.

Question: what do the prisons do if someone has allergies. Do they give a shit?
@JenCutting4 жыл бұрын
Depends. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no lol
@christinaotter4 жыл бұрын
Jen Cutting that’s crazy. So if they have a peanut allergy they might say screw you basically. That’s insane
@ifiwsaflowridbearose4 жыл бұрын
christina otter Just like in the outside world, allergies are something you manage on your own. Unless you’re deadly allergic to something or need special meals, like diabetics, you would go to medical and request it. They can deny the request also.. This stuff is really messed up honestly.
@christinaotter4 жыл бұрын
Jennifer B oh ok that’s interesting. I have no plan on going to prison but find learning about it interesting.
@christinaotter4 жыл бұрын
Jennifer B it really is screwed up. The way inmates are treated is not right. I mean......... I know they are locked up for a reason but that dosnt change the fact they are human beings

Yep. In one way you describe it like it's the Army but it's not. The First time I heard about Bedford Hills was when I saw Jean Harris on 20/20 after being convicted of killing Dr. Herman "Hy" Tarnower. She was convicted in February 1981, and in March 1981 got her Sentence of 15 Years To Life. Then she did one of many Interviews with Barbara Walters beginning in November. She was known as 81-G-98 which meant she was the 98th Prisoner to enter G Wing in 1981. She was 57 and got out on December 29th 1993 after 12 Years and she also suffered Two Heart Attacks.

I used to work at Bedford Hills prison. I worked on boilers. I lived in that house which I think has been vacant since I got arrested there in 1984. My mom was the Stewart Linda Nixon well Linda cherry before that. Man was I a f****** up. But the reason I got fired cuz Herbert Carter Junior lived at my house that was b*******. He was living at the house with me never paid me and I said when you going to pay me. And we got an argument so we got my gun a 22 rifle bolt action brings it down and says why don't I shoot him well maybe I should have but I didn't. I unloaded it and chased old Herbie upstairs in that house and beat him with it. There was blood all over the place cuz he punched me in the face and he should never have been a prison guard piece of s*** he was they're just worse than inmates bringing them drugs for favors in his flashlight. Well I left so I did not shame my mother anymore. She was in the video when women kill I think it's on KZbin Somewhere. My mother stuck up for the inmates and she was very unpopular really unpopular. Like everyday at the bar all the prison guards kept telling me Oh look your mother's on TV and they were bitching about it LOL. I was too drunk and High Everyday to give a f*** honestly. I don't remember the Mexican guy's name from New York City that brings five pounds of weed every payday it was crappy weed but thanks 5 lbs gone in 5 minutes and what didn't go to me and the rest of the prison guards went to the inmates. If you're working at the boiler house at night my boss would tell me I'm sleeping behind number three boiler make sure it doesn't turn out of water and blow up good night! Well I liked to partake in getting high on weed so when you're working in the boiler plant and there's nothing broken nothing to do what do I do? I look for a way through the tunnel to get out yes there is a place you can get out that place is not maximum. And I don't give a crap if a prison guard reads this cuz I don't care! As a matter of fact I told the lieutenant and he said good cuz then I won't have to one less b**** to deal with that's what he told me I mean back then you could just walk out and you'd be by the big road by the power plant and you'd be out. Not like they cared. Yes I was a f****** one time I buried the tractor up to the wheels cuz I talked to the guy at the sewer plant into Towing my car out of the woods. And I'm like man I'm tired I just want to go to sleep I would still have drunk I was just buried that tractor right up to the back wheels. Then they had to make a big scene of course in the whole maintenance department comes. Yes they told me back with a tractor and they made a big deal and everybody knew cuz it's in the parking lot right in front of the house right in front of the gate house in Bedford. Yes I had to talk to my boss and my mother was there and it really sucked. Someone stole all the tools at the boiler plant so my boss told me if something happens up on the hill carry a big wrench and act like you know something well I didn't know something but I didn't have tools! Well one time they called me up there on the hill they call it cuz somebody's toilet it would not flush. Well that day I Had a Hammer the guard goes in the cell and I go behind and I banged out with a hammer cuz all I really did was turn the water on stupid bastards LOL. But they were running around telling everybody I don't know how he did it he just banged it with a hammer and it started working LOL. Man was I a f****** all I ever did was drink do Coke and f****** smoke weed man was I a f****** I made $30 an hour and boy did I f****** up I wish I had another chance but I'll never get one I'm 61 years old. Nobody could afford to live in Bedford after I got fired I left and came back here to Western New York and got arrested the next day in Oakfield New York that was fun. Because I went from Genesee County Jail on a plane to Bedford to work at the prison LOL I am willing to bet nobody else ever did that. You did not say what you were in prison for there's some really bad girls in there real bad! Like let's see what's the one that caught up their baby and fed it to their husband for breakfast cuz he's cheating and after he was done eating she told him it was his baby that's pretty bad! I got to meet that famous lady she was really nice what was her name the diet Dr killer Kelly Jean Harris. Girls would leave the windows open to get me up there. I was young I guess they liked me I've never felt like embarrassed like that ever before. Yes I was a virgin I think I was 23. And I never had that many women yelling oh boy white boy on the Block are you hot whistling and s*** never happened to me before or ever again. I know if I could do it again I wouldn't have been a f****** up but you don't get another chance wonder if Herbie still works there and brings girls drugs? I don't f****** like him Herbert Carter Jr he destroyed my life I would have a nice house car boat but no I tried to help someone that was f****** stupid cuz he was living at Davis Hall in a tiny room with eight guards and a tiny room like your jail cell was nicer that's the truth my mother lived there I used to go in the Davis Hall and shoot pool on a 1800s Giant pool table. Yes I'm a prison brat. My brother Mike he used to work at Albion except they didn't like that he didn't go with the flow and not see things bad things that happened to the inmates and stuff. So we got out cuz the prison guards were worse to him than the inmates that's a fact! Myself I don't give a f*** what they think about me anymore screw them that's what I think Read It and Weep. I don't get in trouble anymore weed is legal and I don't do any other drugs or drink alcohol. So I don't go to jail anymore do i? And by the way I'm getting really f****** bored being good I'd rather go out and get drunk and f****** punch some in the face or something cuz I'm bored! I will never forget the crew with the boiler house it's like you couldn't believe it. One day there was a girl over at the storage facility across from me boiler plant. Well she was going to f*** the s*** out of me and then most likely say that I raped her so no I didn't do it and why would I want to give my virginity to that? And risk my mother and me getting screwed in a bad way. But when something was broke I fixed it nobody at that boiler plant told me how to do anything they didn't want me to take their job they bring a 2,000 lb and I'm not lying steam engine and I'm supposed to put a gasket in it and take it all apart and I did with no help from them m************ cuz they sucked that's amazing point but anyway I went up the ladder one Notch from assistant stationary engineer do stationary engineer man was I a f****** I think I'm going to slap myself what about you? I believe one out of 10 people probably don't even belong in prison but they got to keep prisons full it's a big money business case people don't know that. And by the way I had Christmas dinner there in the boiler house and it was really good better than the men's food in their prison. It's the same damn food they have in this jail slimy f****** bologna. Happy f****** New Year and stay out of that place and then you don't have to be there cuz it sucks and working there also sucked
