I have a 2024 Pursue that I picked up last June. I have had it on several trips and the last one was 15 days and 2,500 miles. Fantastic camper. I tow mine with a 2022 Tacoma and have had zero towing or camper issues. I have the AC and propane furnace but since I have 50 years of camp cooking gear I opted out of the slide out kitchen and water tank reducing my tongue weight considerably. I also use a Disc-O-Bed cot with a trifold mattress. The camper is insulated and stays warm.

This trailer was high on our list when we decided to purchase a small trailer. It is very versatile as a camping trailer and a utility trailer. I would really have liked to get one of these but only having one side door was really a downer and I just really preferred the side kitchen on the 12SK. But this was really high up on my list. It was not really within our price range either but definitely was nice. If I had to do it again I might have thought about getting this one instead because I could do things like help people move furniture or haul bicycles easier. It was impressive as a well built trailer and still might be a future purchase for me. Great review, Pat

Yes I agree you could also locate the propane tank on the side near the back and that would help on tongue weight also.

I agree. It might cost a few bucks, but I bet there’s a rugged tire carrier for the rear that can swing away from the door when opening. Something like the Hiker EOR. That alone would bring the tongue weight to 10-15% of total weight.

I have a purse but a few years older. No kitchen with 20 to 24 inches of storage cabinets, and very little infomation about it online. I guessing it wreights 1100 to 1200 lbs, my little nissan frontier v6 has no problem pulling it

It definitely is. At least there’s plenty of storage opportunities to rebalance the trailer. I’m sure she’s gonna get it right, she was very knowledgeable about the balance.

Curious design choices by the company. I assume they either believe you're going to pull this thing with at least a pickup truck, or you're going to balance the weight in the back. I remain a big fan of the open interior DIY design, but I really think the company needs to think through the weight distribution so that an SUV can better tow this thing. It was very smart of her to abandon the batwing canopy and go with the Kelty.

In ours, our mattress goes up against the front and our gear goes in the back, which does a decent job of putting some counter weight behind the axle. Towed like nothing was there from Colorado to Moab, Utah behind our RWD Mercedes Metris short roof passenger van that has an aftermarket hitch and no tow package. I was surprised to find that our van had a 5k towing rating.

I agree. I have to do a little more research, but I suspect that it’s designed to be able to carry some cargo back there. If balanced properly you could pull this with a very light duty vehicle, but in the stock configuration, I would take the spare tire off and place it in the back.

I do actually like the Kelty quite a bit. It is only 12 pounds, well made, easy to set up by myself, and sheds water well. I like that it gives me shade from the side and not just the top. As a redhead, my skin tone is medium vampire, so sun protection is important. I also like that it doesn't impact the site much. I can roll down the sides and shower in there discreetly. I would have difficulty giving it up in favor of another sort of awning and have considered getting a 2nd one for the side as well.
