Dear ROLAND please, please tell your techs to make a possibility in future OS update , SAVING SRX patches independently from virtual cards, in order to build up custom libraries , instead of loading expansions over and over again for the sake of 1-3 sounds from that SRX card. Thanks!

@gjc82071 There is also PC editor software so you don't need an iPad. Plus, the iPad app is not required to use the module to its fullest potential, the app offers more ease of use, but no additional features that can not be manipulated from the module itself.

This is a year later since I have researched this module but from what I recall, the unit comes with all SRX patches pre-installed which is part of the attraction and price tag of this unit.

ok cool... i was looking into getting a integra 7 and am unsure about the FA 06 or integra... i want something i can just sit down and play without a computer, do u need a computer for this? and also can the sounds record right into ur daw or is it just like a keyboard with midi and Wav. files

This is a standalone synthesizer module...something companies aren't making much of anymore. You don't need a computer for this, you can plug headphones or stereo monitors directly into the unit. You can also record sound from the module directly into your audio interface.

How well does this work with an Akai Professional EWI4000S? Is there any special 'tweaking' needed to make it effectively handle the added wind instrument data? I've not seen or heard any reference to its compatibility to electronic wind instruments, which leads me to believe it's primarily designed for keyboards.

I would like to plug it into a V-Piano and have the touch of the V-Piano to play all the sounds. Plus have all the sounds from the V-Piano which are the best.

Is this the last rack mount module from Roland since there are many cool rack mount modules since 1990s? After INTEGRA-7 it seems that Roland no longer releases any rack mount modules, but only compact modules like Boutique and ARIA series, and virtual sound modules in Roland Cloud.

I noticed there is only one midi in. Are you able to use two midi devices simultaneously with different sounds? Like using v-drums and a midi keyboard at the same time?

you may be able to use a midi merge box if the patches are able to accept different midi channel information.

Why must i load the sounds into a virtual slot??? Why cant i direct select the sound....... so i can select any sound inside the synth.....i dont understand......

They are not that expensive, save $200 a month and you will have enough to buy one in no time!

I said the same thing, 7 years ago. Someone just replied to my comment, 2 weeks ago, and said "what musician doesn't have an iPad?". (I said "Me?") Not everyone owns/uses Apple products. Besides, the Integra 7 is really just a XV5080 with more effects processors, an audio input, and the most popular samples/patches from their SRX & SR/JV boards. (the most recent of which is 15 years old) There isn't a single sample on the Integra 7 that isn't on (or can't be had) on the 21 year old XV5080. As far as samples are concerned, Roland hasn't created any new samples in 15 years. They just keep recycling/repackaging the same samples from the 1990s & early-mid 2000s. Granted Korg & Yamaha do the same thing, however, they also add tons of NEW samples.

@@gjc82071 that's a shame. I've been looking into this unit for a long time and it's hard to find any video that decently reviews it. It's like they went out of their way to NOT demo it. If I can get one for stupid cheap I'll jump on it but I'm not paying over 1k for one.

@@kiko1935 You're right. (about decent videos of it) And I agree that you shouldn't pay more than $1k. Wait a year or 2. They'll probably come down in price. You should be able to find a used one in good condition for around $1k.
