I am actively using this in my role at my company and have been building our whole dashboard/reporting suite in it since October last year. Adoption is much better because of it as we work in teams and share all documents and have all communication through it so people are more willing to use it when they don't have to navigate to a different app

Your point about licensing is well made, but this isn't how it (currently) works. internal users (those users on your tenant) need a pro license to read the Teams tab. External (guest) users do not. I've been informed this is a bug after raising 9 support calls with Microsoft which they will fix, and ultimately prevent dozens of my users from gaining access to the reports (we have multiple tenants across our business). Microsoft have failed to provide a solution to this other than spending $5k per month or licensing all the users - after the fact. I have spent hours creating and publishing these reports and Microsoft's error is causing this to be painful to say the least!

Try promoting an Excel file or a Word file to a tab. Can you see the conversation pane there? Because this is just adding that functionality to the Power BI tab--it's been there for a while. And there isn't a separate chat window per se. The chat pane takes up part of the space that you are using in the Power BI tab as a whole. Again, try it by doing it with an Excel or Word file (also make sure when you are trying with one of those files to choose OPEN IN TEAMS so you keep the Teams frame around your tab window).
@GuyInACube4 жыл бұрын
