This gamemode also pack a lot of AK lore in a much more immersive environment than the standard visual novel style. Following Ceobe around Terra, fighting goons and heretics, trading with some questionable merchant and literally playing slug-racing gacha, they all make Terra feels so alive. All the item and collectibles also hint some events that has or WILL happen in the story (Nian charm and Damaged Revolver item are examples).

Also there's the boss, the walmart frostnova--don't recall the name--, who has to do with demons. Initially you'd think it is something invented by ceobe's fantasy, but in WD it is confirmed they exist demon beings, and among the places they exist they also are in Sami (and in fact the boss used to be a Sami). So there was an anticipation to that as well.

Yeah, the foreshadowing was strong in this one. A mad Sarkaz who was looking at the clock, that was ticking backwards and saying that a Sankta stole the keys, so all the clocks doesn't mean anything now, gives a nod to the Mostima and her Key of Shattered Time. The creepy as hell Black Procession was an intriguing teaser into Sarkaz culture. That damn duck was probably another immortal bird, just like the Emperor and a Priest. Quite a few Elites from Rhodes were introduced here first, like Logos, Stormeye and Touch. The book that described The Silence, the catastrophe that ruined Iberia was also there I really hope that the trend will continue and we will get a lot of tidbits of lore during the new Integrated Strategies here and there.

I sucked at IS, really terrible at it. But the thing is I had so much fun. This gamemode co-running with Gavial Returns easily makes the best summer event in Arknights history. I hope devs broaden their horizon and add more new gameplay styles to the game because the constant state of mini story events back-to-back in CN rn is concerning

Honestly as great as the mode was I still hope they make some improvements: -an option to mulligan your starting operator vouchers -a bit more variety in options for the permanent progression upgrades -some form of RNG manipulation for some of the mechanics to allow the players to aim for specific runs from time to time But yeah the mad lads did it they did make a fun and WORKING tower defense, gacha, rougelike and that is scary.

For me, i hope they implement some of the newer enemies in the game into the gamemode. also add the possibility of manipulating the map like Gavial the Great Chief hard-hat croc, chptr 7 mines, basically more stuff to make the game seem more broken.

Alchemy star made Secret Territory (which is a mode like Integrated Strategy) permanent, and I gotta say I think I prefer Integrated Strategy as a seasonal event just like Contingency Contract.

Integrated Strategies is very challenging and gives a chance to use 4, 5 stars character meanwhile in Secret Territory mode is very boring and not challenge. Bad English, sorry.

God, i seriously miss this game mode. The various condition to pass certain stage is really fun. Giving us there's a ton of strategy to beat it. The boss fight is also fun (Fck you stun golem). Looking on the items is also a fanservice, because there's a ton of references on each item. And lastly, the music is top-tier. Tasting the mode with freeform jazz is a good feeling. Lobby theme and the boss theme, mmmmmm.... That Sax part is definetely screams SAXUAL content. Which makes me eargasm. We need this mode to become a weekly event.

When this event was around, I didn't have any 3-star units raised and barely any 4-star raised (I was trying to get my strongest units good enough to complete the regular story content) so a lot of the time I had to depend on either underleveled units or the default units they give out it made me realize that I really ought to focus on 3 and 4-star units to bring more variety to my strategy instead of just using my strongest five-and-six-star units all the time

The standout 'unexpectedly useful' operator for me was Yato, with the vanguard deployment time decrease artifacts. Her DP cost is so low and you can drop her in front of enemies so fast that they have to stop and take a swing like every step.

The ridiculousness of it is what made IS/Fungimist so much fun so I hope IS 2 hones that. Artifacts combos like guard aspd+ guard +atk -def and guards gain 2sp on hit were so much fun when you managed to get them all together

I like the gamemode because it actually gives purpose to lower rarity units as they are more cost effective when building your team than running with 6 stars that you can't afford. It does have its flaws though. I thought the mode was pretty fun but I'm also a day one Arknights player as well as a medium spender, meaning I not only had meta 6 stars built, but I also had less appreciated 3 and 4 stars built, unlike my friend who was F2P and was struggling because he did not level up lower rarity units, because building the meta 6 stars was more important for his account. I've actually gone and built up more of my 3 and 4 stars in preparation for the return of the event. When I tried the rental units I found some stellar characters like Podenco (Healing and slow), May (Sniper and slow), and Scene that work really well for this gamemode. I hope the rental unit system is expanded so newer players can have fun with this event as well, not just players like me who built niche units who are otherwise useless in other gamemodes.

I played hundreds of IS runs on the hard difficulty. Most of these ended before even getting to the 2nd chapter, but it was so easy to jump back in and try again that i sank so many hours in and leveled so many units just for this one mode.

IS is indeed the best event AK has ever released. It gave a fresh gameplay experience from the usual (mostly) braindead game mode because yeah, if you don't know you can't really make a complete 100% guaranteed run guide for a roguelike game mode. It forces the players to think on their own and play experimentally. The fact that they made it so addictive with the 'unpolished' one, make me hype for them to release the polished version.

8:04 I mostly use 4 stars for every map so it wasn't that bad to me. I remember in my first run i only had Aciddrop, Ambriel and Courier for the first few maps though, which was weird since i never used of them except for Courier, then i got Hibiscus, Yato and Ethan, and i got to the end of the 2nd floor just with them, not a good run but still my favorite one since it was when i started to use my brain to play AK instead of looking for guides all the time.
