Thanks for the video @AnyLogic. If the machine learning learns from data generated by a simulation, isn't whatever it learns built on the assumptions of the model?

Hi MisterBenn, thank you for watching. It depends on what kind of simulation environment is created for training. It is more important to reflect the real system behavior - the rules that exist among the system parts. If you want to learn more about ML with AnyLogic, please check this article, and the Combining Simulation and ML video embedded there - www.anylogic.com/features/artificial-intelligence/h2o-ai/

@@anylogic-simulation Thanks for the reply. It is answering the 5 of the 6 cases in that video you linked which make clear sense: using ML as one way to better estimate properties of system elements. Your reply does not, however, address the quesiton (also the 6th case in that video) where you talk about building a model to generate data for ML algos to learn from. That is what i am asking about. If you use a simulation to generate data for ML to learn from, will it not be just learning the assumptions of the model, including those which are correct, those which are relevant simplifications, and those which are wrong? Or are you referring to including an ML in the model because it is part of the reality you are modelling, eg in a robotic warehouse? Or are you talking about the simulation edge case of using ML as a light weight version of a simulation on an edge device, eg an IoT sensor? Sorry if i'm being stupid, just hoping for a better understanding in case i'm missing something.

Thank you for the video. I would like to know if an engineering student can simulated anylogic with AI, for free

Hi Gabriel, there are some free example models that you may like to try. There are two on each page - www.anylogic.com/features/artificial-intelligence/microsoft-bonsai/ and www.anylogic.com/features/artificial-intelligence/h2o-ai/
