@25:15 - SQL server is not listed in your diagram, so how would you load balance the sql service?

Hi fbifido fbifido! Here's an answer from Matthew Jones. I wouldn't load balance the SQL deployment for XA/XD. If you aren't an SQL expert, then the solution you would probably use would be SQL Mirroring. You'd stand up a Principal Server, a Mirror Server, and then a Witness Server. You preconfigure mirroring and then stand up the XA/XD controller to use the mirrored SQL instead of a single SQL server. That provides your redundancy for the SQL piece. If you are more well versed with SQL, the newer recommendation is to stand up an Always On Availability Group for SQL. Newer version of XA/XD have added connection leasing and the Local Host Cache to address this issue internally instead of requiring an external solution at the SQL level. Also, our XenApp/XenDesktop courses would also help you to understand this process a bit better!

It was sad you did it by script. Not see the script did not teach me what i needed. After running script you rush throw it. I would not take you class because run through the material.

Hi David, thanks for your feedback! In webinars, our trainers really try and cover a lot of information in just an hour, so a day of information is often crammed into an hour to provide great information to our students.
