An issue I've encountered with this, is if you add a bounding object and physics node for the Distance Sensors, then one of the distance sensors will not work when you run the simulation; keeping the physic and bounding object of the distance sensors null; tend to fix the problem for me; and also the solution in webots keeps it null. Also enjoy your content, keep it up!

I am glare that you like our content. Thank you very much for your support. These words mean a lot to us. Kudos you solved the issue. But, I think the node of the distance sensor does not rely on solid properties like bounding objects or physics. So if you want to try advance stuff you can even have your distance sensor working even without actually having solid. You can choose translation and define a distance sensor in it. That small solid is made just for understanding the position of the distance sensor. We would be happy to have your comments and suggestion on other videos. Happy learning :)

In the controller file you can change the speed value and control the speed.

Hi, your video is really helpful, but I have a doubt that I am trying to use a distance sensor, is there any way that I can change the lookup table values to identify the wall in front of me?

Rather than changing look up value. Make bounding box to wall. It will start detection.

I am trying some advance feature of the software, i made a robot with position sensors to make it move in a straight line. I am not able to reset the encoder/position sensor value. There is a feature in differential wheel node to do this, but that node is not recommended to be used with newer version. Do you have any idea on this?

Hi Jatin, Happy to hear about your advanced stuff. Can you elaborate what exactly you want to achieve. Because I suppose once the value is set. You care about relatively value rather than absolute right? If you elaborate your application we can discuss deeper.

@@coolrobotics This is what i am doing exactly right now. Working with the change rather than reference. I agree with you, that this is not essential for the simulation logic. A way to reset them would make it relevant in case i want to do this in the logic of the physical robot and simulate it here.

This custom robot is now available as a standard robot in the Webots library; version 2021a. You can add this robot by going to Add->PROTO Nodes (Webots Project) ->Samples->Tutorials->FourWheeledRobot
