According to this method 2nd ans will 28, but if u apply actual integration rule then ans will 32. ∫0 to 8 (x) dx = [ x^2/2]0 to 8 = 8^2/2 =64/2=32 Ans.

Answer would be 3+4 = 7 Actually the crux of the formula " n(n-1)/2 " is that you sum up numbers from ( lower limit) to (upper limit -1) For example here, it is summation of 0 to (8-1) that is: 0 + 1+ 2+ 3+ 4+ 5 + 6 + 7= 28 Therefore if the limit is 3 to 5 then it is summation of 3 to( 5-1) = 3+4 =7
