Very good narration. I have never been so relaxed before. As for the processor, this is all very helpful information for my next breadboard computing projects.

Thank you for your clear and slow paced tutorial. I'm still pretty new to the world of CPUs, but am fascinated by its inner workings, and the 4004 is a great place to start. I managed to find the 4004 Assembly source code of the Busicom 145 PF calculator, and am particularly interested in how on Earth they programmed their device to compute square roots with 10 digits. Have you had a look at the code? It's very short!

It has actually 2,300 transistors, that's nothing compared to your average CPU everyday.
