Been seeing some comments saying that on Inca, I should have waited and collected diamonds until either blue/red or yellow/aqua completed their first rush. That works as well, I don’t really think immediately going for aqua was the worst idea though since red and blue kept fighting each other pretty much the whole game, so it worked out for me. I don’t really get sandwiched by teams often so I usually don’t really mind rushing someone after my first rush instead of waiting for the teams around me to complete their first rush, but it depends on how you want to play. I think along with bridge, bedwars is a game of pressure. Just go along with your play style, but rushing is a smart move because it guarantees a bed, and then you can get the final.

Also, note that if 2 separate teams are rushing you, (like if someone is side rushing you in a forward rushing map) and if you think you can't kill them both, you should always try go to mid with lots of blocks and get stacked and sacrifice your bed because you will most likely loose your bed and get final-killed if you try to protect your bed in a situation like this.

Thanks a lot for this video, I noticed all this one day and got a lot better. This needed a proper guide, great job! Also, I sum it up to beginners (with both scoreboard and reasoning) by saying: 1. Look at your neighboring teams. If one of them has free time, or will have it, go for them 2. If both of them do, wait a bit to see which one goes for you first, then fight them 3. If both rush other teams, get one’s bed while they can’t get back easily and make sure they don’t revenge rush you when you rush your other neighbor. If both are sandwiching, run and play the emerald game Use the scoreboard for extra info. If both neighbors are away, and one breaks a bed, go for the other one.

Just a quick tip: sweats will most likely target you if you take your first rush out really quickly. I speak from experience, here is an example: in a game, I took out my first rush really quick, but after a few seconds another team was wiped out by someone in the opposite of the map. Here is a decision I had to make: I either keep playing normally and fight him at the end, or just straight up target him before he get stacked. I chose to target him. I gave up my bed and mid rushed him, I took him out because of the surprise factor. The rest of the game became easier even tho I didn't have a bed.

I think this can be simplified with one aspect of Bedwars a lot of new players don't get: rushing is a defensive strategy. You stop threats from killing you by killing them first. Generally you have the option between 2 teams (after your first rush), and whoever isn't preoccupied is the one likely to go for you (most won't target you if they're in a fight with someone else). Therefore, I have to disagree with Intel's decision on the Inca map as that was not a defensive strategy, but an offensive one, since no teams are likely to rush you (defence is of course = winning as there are many teams in the game). Going back to base and waiting would have been best, or just getting diamonds.

Solo bedwars main proofreading, forward rushes are diagonal rushes because the bases are still diagonal if you remove the diamond island. It should be mentioned that if you're going for winstreaks after your first rush if everyone is fighting you can even go mid, primarily on airshow. All in all, good video, I think this wasn't made earlier because of how intuitive it is. Many players do this on their own, i.e red in this video.

This is a good tutorial about game sense, but there is one situation where i strongly disagree (inca map in this video), the case when you take out your first rush and no one else has taken their first rush. In this case, you should NEVER rush someone else, yes taking aqua was easy cause he was fighting grey, but now you’ll have to fight grey. During this time, others first rush should be done and you may get sandwiched by red or blue who are gonna come from the other side. I suggest rushing no one and only going to the diamond gens or to mid while other people finish their first rush. When a pair next to you finish the first rush phase go take them out and its gonna be way easier since you’re gonna have sharp+prot1 or even prot2

I have been playing bedwars since around 2017. Didn't grind until around a year ago but this is super useful. I subconsciously do this mainly from just watching purpled old gameplay. Purpled always just knew when to void and predicted what team was going to rush him like 90% of the time. So this is just something that you get a feel for as you play. You won't really need to look at the scoreboard a lot and in my case, I just look at chat and see what bed is broken. I mean they're the same thing but I find it easier to look at chat. Or at least my muscle memory looks there whenever a bed is broken.
