Is there a way of configuring the .nn template? When it comes to conditions I prefer to put the variable last. This allows the compiler to catch assignments when assignments can also have a boolean type. Consider "if (var != CONSTANT)..." if the least significant bit of the byte representing the '!' is flipped from a 1 to a 0 then the logic has been completely changed. This format also catches (for me) instances of "forgetting" to type the second equals in a condition about three or four times a year. Given the range of template already in IntelliJ I'm somewhat surprised that "CONSTANT == $variable$" is a configurable style choice.

As far as I can see, you cannot configure the template, but you can unmark it and make a custom one, also named nn, containing what you want. I just made it and it works.
