"Sphinx of Quartz Judge my Black Vow" = "Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs". 😀 Great coverage, thank you for providing this in-depth!

I think I have the "old ebay" unit that you listed. I acquired it in 2001 and I believe it is Rev A. It would be cool to go through all the differences in that unit to see if there are any surprises.

@user-vq6lj8ec7g (brett rattner), That sounds fascinating. If you are on AtariAge, you can message me there as Lathe26. Otherwise, let's find some other way to chat about your Rev A.

Fantastic Job, Chris!

Clearly the definitive video on the multiselector. Great job. Given the name John and the birthday, it should be somewhat easy to determine who "John" is. John Sohl, probably?
@Lathe26Real4 жыл бұрын
John Sohl was my first guess as well. However, most of the Blue Sky Rangers think he is likely too old to have been born in 1957. There are 2 other potential Johns listed in the linked document. Also, the BSR folks think this might have been worked on outside of Mattel so it could be a John that they don't know.

@@Lathe26Real John Brooks (APh) and John Tomlinson (Mattel) are two other possibilities. Brooks did Space Armada, and Tomlinson did Mission-X. I'm betting on John Tomlinson.

Thanks. The "Mattel Kiosk Multiplexer Reverse Engineering Notes" document (link in the description) has these names listed in there.

BTW, the docs at PapaIntellivision refer to a "POP" that is probably the kiosk multiplexor. See page 10: papaintellivision.com/pdfs/CCF10232011_00026.pdf (O HAI: I typed that before I got to ~29 minutes in... LOL!) And, I saw the shout-out in the Sphinx ROM demo. :D

gotta ask, are there any confirmed complete kiosks out there?
