This is that episode that really sets the tone for the rest of, well, the entire series, really (I was going to say “season”, but as a reader of the LN that tone never really changes). The loss of Kaie just really, really hurts.

I have watched many animes in my life, but for some reason, Kaie's death really hit hard, maybe because I liked her since the end of episode 2? she had character and personality
