I really hope you continue this series Dev. I know you’re a father and family man now but I really think this series could change a lot of kids lives. I’d love to see you pull up to random schools. I went to school with this dude that was easily an elite Div 1 player but never got the chance because I grew up in a small town where basketball was heavily undervalued and overshadowed by football like a ton of small town schools. (Mac McClung’s school was in our division). Back then, it was hard to market high school talent if your school wasn’t on a national ranking. Now we have all these social media outlets where players can get recognition easily. There are some gems out there that will never get the chance.

He was elite offensively and defensively and could have easily went to a Div 1 school with the right exposure. That dude lived for basketball and worked his ass off every day to be as skilled as he was.

Where is the specific sets and plays?? It seems like the offense is simply based off the players intentions. When I was was in HS we had double screen plays. Back door plays. Post up and space plays. Certain sets to fit those plays and etc.

Same here. We had those plays but mostly ran a motion offense. Something like the warriors. But that’s texas high school basketball. I’m here in Cali now and coached AAU for a hot minute but stopped after parents bitched about sharing the ball. Smh. Basketball Is different now and not for the better. I’m good with the long distance shooting but the absolute non movement is not good for the game
