Do it! I've been playing since I was a kid and played in highschool and college. You meet the greatest people and I actually networked on the golf course which led me to getting a nice paying job! Highly recommend, don't stress over the equipment just get out there!

You can get a set of clubs cheap on Ebay to start with. Get game improvement irons, they are easier to hit. Don't try to hit a ball by yourself first. Go see your local PGA professional and get a lesson.
