I feel like Balart's corner was waiting for that, and the game plan was to catch the kicks to get the takedown. Highkicka is an obvious strategy, buy you don't want to be obvious. That's why Uwada's team chose a different strategy. Balart surely wasn't ready for Uwada to box him
