@@gusklemp3477 Really depends on the state / province / country you are in. Many places have strict policies regarding pursuits. For example, in my location, if the violation is purely for a traffic infraction (i.e. speeding), then the police can attempt to pursue to obtain a tag, but otherwise have to break the pursuit for the safety of the public, the rider and the officer. Also, it's even less likely there will be a conviction given the driver can't be identified directly to the vehicle. In contrast, there are some states that are pretty harsh and the police can pretty much run you into the wall to stop you (probably not literally, but figuratively). So I don't advocate running from the police, but some times the police do set traps in locations where speeding poses no risk other than to the rider - and generally only to set a quota. In this case, the rider was pretty much set up to evade given that he had no plate. I would also suspect that this isn't his first rodeo given how he relatively calmly evaded the officers - so some kudos for that.
