Shared a stage with Little Walter, Junior Wells, Sugar Blue, Corky Siegal, James Cotton, Howard Levy over those years. They're all top 100 alltime. This guy has as much soul as anybody. Musicians are usually folks with thier issues angst and depression. Some of the most talented are egomaniacs. I was like that I would judge and rate everyone. Harmonicas players never talked. It was huge ego trip. With big ego comes big insecurity. I one day woke and realized that harp players are all different. No two play the same. An average player brings a lot of ether to the the band. So now I’m friendly and appreciate everyone unless they have an attitude. Envy and ego is evil
@richardleetbluesharmonicac71923 жыл бұрын
I’ve had that happen with bands. We rock. I get a bunch of attention on breaks and they notice it and the minute an insecure band member perceives you are stealing the spotlight the Bromance is over if they say tone down. I already know when to play and when not to play but I’ll never be told to play intentionally mediocre.
