This is why their make up looks so natural.... They know how to choose correct shades ND also they apply less amount of make up... I have never seen any makeup artist using such less amount of foundation .... they know how to enhance the beauty without using too much product Koreans are the king of make up sis .... I love this kind of light make up...

I hope this trend for real make up skills continues on KZbin-- its getting a big cringe to watch college-aged kids do thickly applied, drag queen make up as their day to day 'mask'. Those 'instagram brows', super thick foundation and unbelievably heavy application of concealer under the eyes-- plus heavy metallic stripes of cheekbone highlighter. Bluergh! Those kids are not professionals, nor are they artists. I found it interesting here that she put the lightest application of foundation whilst working inwards because in the West the beauty philosophy usually dictates it to be other other way around. I found this video very refreshing to come across too. :)

CiganyWeaver and her periwinklebluespacecaravan well that’s the style right now and it’s more of an art form for people rather than something to look “naturally beautiful”. A lot more girls wear makeup now to explore new looks and colors as the sentiment is not caring about what the opposite sex thinks. If you like the natural makeup look that’s fine too but don’t bash others when they’re not trying to appeal to you.

@@ephemeralvisions777 that's exactly my point. The person I'm making the comment that I replied to is talking about how this woman's face feels unattainable. I'm simply pointing out that what feels unattainable is actually something that they can probably do and to hold what you see on KZbin, Instagram, etc as a beauty standard is simply unfair to yourself because there are so many things happening before you see their face that you can't just assume they look that way naturally.

@Bytheewaay

I am a professional makeup artist and we always dress in black (or neutral tones) for work. If we did dress in anything more colourful, the tones could reflect on the client's face and ruin our perception of their colours and therefore our work. So if you ever spot a professional MUA that's how we actually look 🤗

@@menosgrande225 Yes, I've seen makeup gurus usually wear normal clothes even when they put makeup on other people. That's not usual among professionals. Also, we have many protocols for hygiene and especial tools for that effect and we do look pretty much like coming out of a lab 😆

“see how it matches with the colour of the neck?” dang im surprised a korean makeup artist said this edit: wow i didn’t get notifs for this comment until a week later. anyway, according to some of y’all’s logic, a pale foundation on a NC30 skin is called stage makeup when that’s called changing your skin tone 😭😭 stage makeup = thick makeup not a whole ass different colour koreans/asians prefer a pale foundation even if it doesn’t match their neck, so what? in western standards people are so adamant on having the exact colour, again so what? let people do what they want according to what they see as pretty, but don’t deny facts lmao
