I had that white away shirt and went to watch Schalke later that year in the Bundesliga, a 2-0 win at home in the old Parkstadion to Karlsruher SC who at that time were a good side themselves. Great moment for Schalke, albeit tainted with Dortmund winning the Champions League against, coincidentally enough, Inter's great domestic rival (apart from Milan), Juventus.

Honestly inter e juve were far enough superior from borusia and schalke. Inter played much better than schalke and juve dominated the final against dortmund. Italian serie a was the best competition in the world
