You know what? After all of these drama, I'm still thanking So Sungjin for debuting GFriend. If it wasn't for him believing in the girls, GFriend is probably gone just right after Glass Bead promotions. Imagine, mortaging your house just to invest in a girl group with uncertain success is basically just risking a part of your life to it. Thankfully, GFriend became successful bigtime! Maybe this man became somewhat controlled or corrupted right now, but there came a point that his faith to the girls was tested and it was all paid off. And I am still thankful to this man for creating GFriend, the girl group whom I cherished the most.

It's like their first line of their debut song: "I may seem like a clear glass bead. But I won't break that easily" They literally came from nothing, a small no-name company and clawed their way to the top and up there with groups from the industry's biggest companies. They haven't received much attention internationally until recently but these girls should not be underestimated, they've been killing it for years. Haters would say they only got famous because they fell so many times on that fancam, but here's the thing about viral videos, they come and go. It will give you that 15 sec of fame, it's what you do with that 15 secs that will determine your future. Gfriend came back with a strong song like "Rough" and "Naverilla" and really cemented their place in the industry. I think one of the girls said it better about the fancam: "We didn't become successful because we fell, we became successful because we got back up".

They have EARNED their success. Thank you for including the infamous September 2015 performance. I know it is upsetting to many. But I live in Virginia USA and had never heard KPop before, until that video and story appeared in an online newspaper. I was so impressed with them that I started searching out other videos, finding Glass Bead. I became a GFRIEND stan thanks to that unfortunate performance video, and, unlike many Buddys, I value it highly because it is how I came to know them.

Gfriend is a unique gem. The odds were against them being from a small company, and they had to train each other. They faced a lot of hate, especially in the beginning, and couldn't even afford new shoes. It's been amazing seeing them grow, change, and become more confident with each comeback. Their girly yet powerful yet insync dances always mesmerize me, and they're really the only group I know of that doesn't force a rap into most of their songs. There is no replacement for them so I really hope they stay together and keep making music for many years to come ^_^ In the 10 years I've been following Kpop, Gfriend is my first and only ult cause they are the full package, I love all the members, and I actually enjoy their B sides!
