Makikita talaga yung simula ng pagiging dead channel niya sa Islands TV era - kahit yung Pinoy Ang Dating jingle di talaga nakatulong sa pagbaligtad ng sitwasyon nila. Most-watched TV network noon, ngayon mga rebroadcast ng mga dating programa + DepED TV na lang. Sana may bibili na sa network dahil walang dahilan na patuloy pang ipagmamay-ari ng pamahalaan (at popondohan ng buwis natin) ang IBC kung meron naman silang PTV

Sobrang nakaapekto kasi sa kanila yung pagbabalik ng ABS CBN after Martial Law. Ultimo yung ibang mga programs ng IBC noon tulad ng Okay Ka Fairy Ko at The Sharon Cuneta Show napunta din sa ABS. Tapos parang niloko at ginatasan pa sila ng mga taga Islands TV management. They tried so hard to revive and resurrect the station many times. They even tried partnering with Viva but everything failed kasi nga nakatali, nakakandado at di sila makakalas mula sa GOBYERNO. Ultimo nga El Shaddai na ang tagal na sa kanila eh nagawa rin silang layasan. Privatization na lang talaga ang sagot diyan pero bago mangyari yun, dapat bitawan na sila ng gobyerno little by little

Did you know channel 12 in Tacloban had a repeater called 6 Palo which means IBC 12 Tacloban and IBC 6 Palo are simultaneously received altogether. Later it off the air meaning IBC 6 Palo promoted to originated station but ERP is reduced to 1 kW

@czartampilic-gr3fg Actually cost cutting ang dahilan. Government owned ang IBC13 kasama mg PTV4 at pati RPN9 dati. Kaso pinapagamit na lang sa CNN Philippines yung RPN9 na kung tutuusin mga basura lang naman pinapalabas. And since nadevelop na ng pamahalaan ang PTV4 binitawan na lang nila ng tuluyan itong IBC13. Kalungkot pa nga rin hanggang ngayon e 😢
