Yo man!!! I just watched a T.V. program in New Zealand called "Abandoned Engineering" & it had about 20 mins segment on the old colony spot. What a beautiful Island, would love to visit it, even after it's use.... And it wasn't shut down that long ago - it's reported to be on the program July 1984.?? ( When the last patient died... - if that is correct ). Sad to think that we as human beings treated other fellow human beings that way BUT realistically we only had what knowledge we had at that point in time to use to make decisions for "the better good of most" ( wow how relative to Covid 19 times...) The Nuns were heroic in their selfless behaviour & it was inevitable that they would eventually catch it themselves.... Very sad that one took her own life, perhaps over the Leprosy, guess we will never know..... We as humans are so lucky that there are some people in life of whom would do that work for such truly unwell & disfigured fellow humans..... "Respect" totally for Nuns in this role.... Awesome video dude, nice work very nice keep it up & keep it coming! U gotta subscriber out of it!!! Might come & see U one day! Maybe we do a day trip to the island!!! Looking like it's going to get populated by holiday homes now tho....

Nice video. Looking forward to part 2 with more footage around the 2nd highest lighthouse in the world. There is some excellent history about Chac in Fr. Anthony De Verteuil's book, Western Isles of Trinidad, sadly out of print right now but worth getting your hands on.
