I've been shadowbanned twice via a falsely reported image (probably under nudity which is not true) and my page is a platform on which I promote services like my patreon, which pays my bills. I do modeling in the alternative niche. My goal is to increase reach and growth and avoid censorship to keep my page running, I'm not really focused on likes, I have authentic engagement and don't follow for follow or do any of the shady engagement pods ect. In fact I'm rather stingy with likes and only like my friend's photos. I am at 13k right now and I'd like to reach 20k, I was fast on track towards 20k by the end of August but then they removed 2 of my pics and didn't even tell me why. My account is @alarycia

This is a big update, but I think it's a good update as it will clean up Instagram and people will start to only see high-quality SFW content on their feed. Which I think needs to happen. I see way too many people posting sketchy things. Thanks for the great video!

Instagram is just trying to become.... more filtered, although this isn't necessarily good. Instagram is statically the best social media platform in terms of post engagement so a lot of people are using Instagram. With more and more people joining the platform, Instagram needs a way to organize itself so that it doesn't become _too_ oversaturated. But this also means that it will be harder for smaller pages to grow and in my opinion, if this keeps up this might mean that only the more popular accounts will have a higher "trust score" meaning that it will not be the best platform anymore. I mean look at what happened here on KZbin; 5-6 years ago it was much easier if you wanted to grow your own channel. Today it's just not quite the same...

It's all about the money. Social media has been unfair for years. Had nothing to do with so called spam. FB bought IG because they saw how many people were being self made and FB saw it as a money pit ;).

The problem is that they delete nudity in art... & they say paintings don't go against community guidelines, it says so literally in the guidelines, but I had a painting with nudity in it & appealed against the removal, & it was restored, but LATER, it was removed again & there was no way for me to restore it a second time.

Since my account sounds like one that is ripe to be deleted according to their new rules about the # of violations in a certain time...Do shadowbans stack? got a shadowbanned on the 11th automatically for having idiots mass flagging my pic. Happened again on the 15th. Does that mean my shadowban expires on August 11th? or July 29th? Or August 8? The first shadowban is due to expire tomorrow and I'm seeing a bit of growth so I'm not sure if they actually double shadowbanned me. I was tanking engagement and followers HARD but its picking up today randomly. So since I had 2 images struck down falsely within 4 days am I going to be banned?... Should I attempt to appeal my removed posts? I already purged my ENTIRE page of remotely risky pics and removed all hashtags

I actually don't really care much about the follow block. If anything I think it's a good idea because I hate those follow/unfollow people and you don't really build an authentic following anyways. I just hope they don't go too wild on the like block because I get most of my followers by liking a lot of people's pictures

I might disregard the “swipe up” in my mind and post content on my IGTV and share on my story everyday I’d post something...leverage (LONG FORM + WITHIN THE APP and when you keep people within the App instagram favors your content)

Instagram will only ban actions if you do them too often, like spam, and if you do it in a "bot like" manner. You probably will never get like blocked unless you like hundreds of photos a day lol

i started my page about 3 months ago. when i started i had no idea what i was doing. i spammed a lot. i used captivate and cleaner to follow and unfollow. it was working, i was seeing 100000 person reach on some posts, but then they shut me down, engagment dropped to almost nothing. i stayed off my account for awhile and my engagment came back up when i returned. but then it dropped to almost nothing again.... super annoying. ive been punished by instagram for quite awhile now. should i just start over with new account? clean slate and dont be so spammy? or should i just wait it out?

Yeah, on my niche account I am follow banned but you can still see my posts on hastags and probably the explore page. I'm not really sure how it is going to work but I think that Instagram is just trying to make sure that they filter inappropriate content even thought they have the option to censor disturbing content already 🤷‍♂️ can't say it's a bad move but I hope they don't try to do anything more aggressively in the future

Do you believe you can repair your trust score? If you had an account with a decent following but poor score, would you recommend restarting? Or can you resurrect your trust score with work

Blake Sinclair I think it depends on your situation. Blocking ghost and low quality followers seems to help. But if it‘s too much damage, starting over is a good option

1. make a post and use a very small or hashtag you just invented yourself. 2. go on to instagram on a PC desktop, do not log in to any account, search for that hashtag you created and check the 'recent' section. If it's not there, you're shadowbanned. An account that follows you or has followed you may still see the tag but you can only be sure if your'e logged out or have a complete stranger look for you

Instagram has definitely been a rollercoaster from the beginning of this year. However, growing your account organically, though it may be tough in the beginning, always pay off. I have grown an instagram account to 100k followers in 6 months all organically.
