As a small kid circa 1987 I was putting random letters into the password load screen in this game and got similar results. Despite getting insane equipment I still could not beat the game. Tried again to beat the game as an "adult" circa 2000 and still could not beat it.

May be 10 years ago I did hacking of passwords of this game. All is quite simple: you need just calculate sum of all values by ascii codes and do module of 256. Latest character will be checksum of all password. For example first value describes how many lifes you have. correct value is 1-5, and so on...

I think some of them are eastereggs that programmers made for fun. Use rom hack programs can find several passwords like that. For NO.5 password,it's like FUCK MAN EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...GO PLAY IT. And AVGN shouldn't miss that password in his review,super password.

If I can remember correctly, I tried entering a password wrong and put all J's to try again and it turned out being a working password. 31ZYF JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ. try it out
