The USS Zumwalt is the Largest Destroyer in the World

The U.S. Navy said on February 1 during a symposium in Virginia that it would test-fire its new hypersonic weapon from the stealth destroyer USS Zumwalt in December 2025.

@@AlihanGurpinar True, the size of things does increase over time; but the Zumwalt is still a cruiser in design. It has two heavy guns (today's standard) meant primarily for shore bombardment. That's a cruiser no matter what it's called. The Germans are calling a new 12,000 ton warship a frigate. Underclassifing ships seems to be a thing these days.

I worked at BIW, which built these, and have been on board. They're impressive, but junk. Absolutely zero defensive weapons, or measures beyond "stealth." Great tech in this vessel, but it's simply unfeasible, and a total waste of tax dollars.

haha good looking ship. but not as the good as the type 55. only have 3 of these vessels. she looks good but in combat she can't stand a chance against the type 55. USS Zumwalt consumes to much fuel and is not that stealthy. aluminum covers are also very hard to maintain. its a decent ship though
