I really love your channel man, and will one day be signing up for you class even if I have a job by then! I took a UI course at FIT and they gave me a ton of rules for design and now I feel like they did that just so I can break every rule via abstraction, its fun to see you explain that. Keep them coming please!

great vid as always! Noticed at the end you shrunk the height of the frame. Just in case you didn't know, in Figma you can set the prototype device to iPhone so you don't have to :)

Can you make a Contrast checker for windows? You will have a lot of subscriptions for sure! Your color checker is muuch easier to use than Stark!

Is this course is in a similar style as your Intro to Icons course (do it with the teacher) which I quite like?
@mdsnotavailable4 жыл бұрын
Hey Kirill, it is similar indeed, but because interface design requires a deeper understanding than icon design there is more information presented vs. "do this, then do this, then do that" Each lesson in Shift Nudge is structured in a "Why, What, How, Homework" format, so you get information and the practice. 👍

@@mdsnotavailable awesome, thank you for the prompt reply, the practice part is very important to me. 🙇♂️

when it comes to contrast, what's the difference between AA and AAA?
@mdsnotavailable4 жыл бұрын
AAA is a stricter requirement (more contrast)
@m-ear4 жыл бұрын
@@mdsnotavailable does it vary between companies/orgs as to which level you should reach?
@mdsnotavailable4 жыл бұрын
@@m-ear It can. I've done work for large national banks and they only had AA requirements for their web content. But keep in mind, color contrast scores are not the only thing used to ensure proper accessibility. Other things on the development side are required as well. Lots more heavy reading on the subject here: www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/

2:15 Neue = no-ya Thank you for affirming my life decision to pronounce Helvetica Neue as Helvetica No-ya 😂 Also I've watched enough of your lessons that it's quite novel (no-ya) to see you use a teleprompter 🤔

Yeah trying out a new format. Wouldn’t do every video like this, but sometimes it’s helpful. Saves TONs of editing time, but definitely a bit of a trade off.

Yep! But it's not Figma-specific. You can follow along in any tool.

too fast and too much info for beginners or does the course lead it to this point with explanation? I mean for those who know nothing about the process of getting into where you're at in the video. also you dont explain why youre choosing the font your choosing or the spaces youre giving, why youre doing things the way youre doing, are the other ways and if so why your prefer your way better. not explaining these would be just like following a yt tutorial without understanding the why question.
